Capsule Geology

The Kin 4 showing is located 3 kilometres due west of Kinskuch Lake, about 650 metres north of the Basin adit (103P 181), 44 kilometres southeast of Stewart.

The occurrence area is underlain by a sequence of sediments and volcanics of the Upper Triassic Stuhini Group. A quartz lens, 30 by 15 centimetres, is hosted in a dark grey, siliceous andesitic rock. Mineralization in the lens consists of small blebs of pyrite, chalcopyrite, sphalerite(?) and stains of malachite and azurite. A grab sample (4045) assayed 1.4 per cent copper, 0.26 per cent antimony and 270 grams per tonne silver (Assessment Report 20611).

In 1990, Adrian Resources Ltd. conducted a work program consisting of 1:10,000-scale geological mapping, prospecting, and rock and soil sampling.
